Life Manifesto

My pathway is to develop myself, ideas, projects and people. I use every opportunity to grow and create a good environment for myself and for others to improve step by step the state of being.

I first realized that I have impact on others during high-school, when I was supporting my best friend and helping her overcome depression. At that point I understood that every person has a weak point, fears

or frustrations. I also found a way of overcoming these challenges by accepting them and understanding their roots.

For a while I didn't mind what other people went through, until I started tutoring autistic children in Bucharest. I grew fond of the boy I worked with for 2,5 years, Dragos (it means "the gift of love").

I saw in him so much intelligence, he had a profound look in his eyes and he made me see that there's a lot going on inside him (strong feelings and emotions, thoughts and a world filtered by the perception of a 5 year old). The autism was like a mask. And when I thought of it for a while I understood that every person has a mask, be it a mental disorder, an attitude, a certain behavior or their thoughts. It's a mask that keeps away the others, and sometimes leads to keeping away from the real self.

I started looking for the depth of all the people, trying to find their "potential".

Three years passed until I started having impact (or at least I started acknowledging my impact). I was delivering sessions at Trainers' Forum in Vienna, 2 years into volunteering work, when a simple last minute talk determined the change of direction of one of my trainees. She was having doubts regarding her training abilities. At first I thought what I had said didn't mean much. I was just redirecting her attention towards what she had achieved on her own until then, and told her a short story that reflected that most people have doubts, and what matters is moving forward and celebrating the achievements instead of lingering on to what could have been done better.

The next two years brought in front of me more young people, many of whom kept contact with me, asking for advice, guidance and saying that it's my "energy" pulling them forward. I always knew it was their own energy pushing them from behind.

I dedicated myself to what I called "contact". I tried and tested various ways of communication and found out each person has his/her own triggers, and a good word might change a person on the inside, while another is left unmoved. Each one of us has a personal code that we respond to. Like a personal map that we recognize, and when someone shows it, it becomes easy to understand and follow the personal path.

I started working with underprivileged children, with youth from all over Europe (still as a volunteer). My most important goal was connecting, not always surfacing at the beginning, but during discussions and interaction. Now I work with Gifted children (and boy it's a challenge!!).

Most of my work is related to education and growth. I consider this aspect the most important to our individual and social lives, and young age is prone to confusion, mixed feelings, "wrong direction" and deep feelings that can be transformed into learning, understanding and personal growth. It is very important to me to use the ability that I discovered in myself and be of help to our society.

In the context I live in right now (Bucharest, Romania) I see our country undertaking a leap of development. It is the time when, as a nation, we need help and guidance. And the resources are within the community in my opinion. A corrupted political system pushing its' will against human rights (and decency), invasive companies trying to profit from our goods, world wide stereotypes that "stain" and mask the giftedness of our country...these are a few aspects that create rage, frustration and lead to an overall state of unhappiness. Half hearten people won't work together to create a better future for our children, they will surrender to context and leave behind what was once a country known for its achievements (great Olympic results, brilliant inventors, committed workers and highly developed minds).

I want to be part of the global transformation of the world, learning to create and support sustainable communities based on true values that treasure nature, human connection and health.
